Be Activated Is a system created by Douglas Heel that revolves around breathing, body posture and muscle activation. It is designed to reveal and resolve the compensation patterns that could be the cause of chronic pain and imbalances in the body.
When in optimal state the body performs at its best and uses the correct muscles for the diverse functions. Although, due to a variety of conditions (prolonged sitting, stress, shallow breathing, injury) problems start to arise that generate pain or difficult certain movements or performance.
Through the analysis of the body and its ‘cheat'/compensation strategies to breathe and move we can then manipulate the muscles, psoas and fascia tissue to release tension and activate the correct muscle sequence to allow the body the return to its optimal state.
Reiki Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" over the body (while not necessarily touching the body) and is based on the idea that an unseen (but felt) - CHI "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's Chi is low or blocked in any area of the body, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stressed, influencing our health, balance and even happiness.
During a Reiki treatment the client remains fully clothed and lies down on a comfortable massage table. A treatment feels like a fantastic glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the person in an Holistic level, meaning, the body, the emotional side, the mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that includes relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.
Preparation: It’s best to wear loose, comfortable clothing to a Reiki appointment. Although you don’t have to arrive at the session on an empty stomach, it’s recommended to avoid a heavy meal or too much caffeine beforehand.
